Let it be known to all persons of quality and distinction that the noble companions of Unto the Roll did, on a certain agreeable evening, take up the mantle of illustrious storytellers — each a baron, a countess, a captain of renown — and competed with all flamboyance at their disposal to recount the most spectacular, the most improbable, and the most entirely truthful adventures that ever graced the ears of polite society.
Should a fellow nobleman find your tale unsatisfactory, they may press a coin upon the table and deliver an interruption. Should you refuse their coin, an insult may be exchanged — and pistols at dawn are not out of the question.
